Appearance/Abilities:
Bat ponies are a rare hybrid creature, said to have characteristics of both a pony and a bat. How such species was created was unknown, however magic seems to be the only logical reasoning behind it. It shows some intelligence however does not have any ability to speak. Supersonic waves are capable of being produced from its mouth. Bat ponies are not blind, but they are not the best sight gifted.

Habitat and Diet:
Bat ponies are usually found in deep dark caves, although some have known to appear in some larger pony-built structures. However when they know they are threatened, they do leave to look for a new home. They usually hunt at night and eat insects and fish. Some eat berries but they usually avoid that food.

Relationships:
Bat ponies usually breed around in the early fall. Male bat ponies attract mates with their calls, which is a slight variation of their normal frequencies. Female bat ponies generally attract mates with their ears. Usually larger ears pick up frequencies easier. The larger the ears, the more frequencies that can be heard. This process can happen for months, but usually is kept before winter when they hibernate. If a male/female never finds a mate, then they are out of luck for that year.
