Akkord was a member of a four member band known as the Symphony Stars. He and his friends played instruments not well know to the region. Their band played in major villages and towns, getting paid to perform. However, that was the only time they would ever play. They never performed for free under any circumstances. One day while traveling, they crossed an extremely small village. An old lady wanted to ask of them to play for her sick granddaughter. Akkord immediately demanded money, but the old woman said that she had nothing. The band, taking his lead, walked away. The old woman was apparently an old witch, who decided that from their greed they should be placed with a curse. The instruments they all played soon melded to their bodies, tranforming how they once were. Akkord's body merged with his instrument, the accordion. With their new talents and bodies, they became the Symphony Gang.

While his personality has not changed, his body has. Akkord can stretch his legs, waist, and arms all the while making an accordion sound. His legs can seperate to two legs, making him still slightly human. His punches and jumps are very powerful. His music changed since he obtained this form. When played, his music can change things; like a rock into water. This ability, however, has unlimited possibilities. Akkord's role as leader still has not changed, taking the lead and doing what is right for the team.
