Midnight was born like he was. It is unknown who or what caused it, but his figure changed completely. His parents tried to take care of him, but something caused them to die. Alone, Midnight tried to take care of himself. But some rude ponies started to treat him badly. They cut his made, constantly hit him, they even tried to kill him. Midnight lived in the rougher area of Equestria; far, far away from Ponyville. The three small scars on his eye were caused by the same group of ponies. His mane grew back, but it grew back torn and messy. Some spikes replaced where his mane used to be. One spike even took the shape of a horn, but its not a horn. Even though it isn't a horn, Midnight has a hidden magic inside of him. His wings take on that of a bat's. Midnight's front legs take of a bird's talons. His cutie mark is a rare one. The mark is known as the Heart of Darkness. This cutie mark is only given when a very kind pony causes a harsh action. Midnight is usually very kind. However, after everything he has been through, he is scared beyond belief. Once he finds that someone will not hurt him, he calms down. Midnight is pretty intelligent and is skilled in the literary arts. He is a great writer and knows every language. He is pretty good at flying and the only magic he can use is levitation. Everything else is hidden to him. However, his cutie mark shows what talent he keeps hidden. When endangered and threatened, Midnight will sometimes resort to his evil side. His evil side knows all of the destructive magic and will use all of it. In his evil side or good side, Midnight knows some fighting techniques. The only thing he wants are friends that will not go away, pass away, or hurt him.

Midnight trotted through Ponyville heading towards Sugarcube Corner. He was going to see if the Cakes needed any help. As he walked he did not watch where he was going. He suddenly bumped into another pony. "Oh, I'm sorry..." he said.

Euro jumps and lets out a small squeak. She whirls around and narrows her eyes at the pony who had bumped into her. However, when she sees it's a stranger, she calms down and simply stares at him.

Midnight was confused by her reaction, most ponies knew about him. But he then saw that she was new. "Oh..." his ears drooped, "Y-You don't have to be afraid....I...I'm not a monster..."
