Description
I stumbled upon :iconjustinnugget:'s contest justinnuggets.deviantart.com/j… on remaking the designs of a Pokémon. And since I was doing my own region with alternate forms, I have to give this one a go.
Now then, why do I dislike Alolan Persian? Well I cannot really say anything that hasn't been joked about or said already. But I'll say it anyway. When you have a regal looking Meowth, I never expected Garfield to be the end result. I can technically understand seeing as how if you're treated as royalty you get fed a lot and you could end up getting fat. But still, Alolan Persian is anything but "royalty" as what the dex entries say. A fat Persian is not a pleasant looking one.
When thinking of the redesign, I went to search up actual Persian cats. And they are SO fluffy! So one aspect is that I made Alolan Persian a but fluffier. I can imagine a king or queen just stroking the fur of this Pokémon to feel how soft it is. I changed the gemstone shape to an uncommon gem cut, added dark marks under the eyes, pointed the ears, and made its body thinner. In most pictures of real life Persian cats they always seemed to have the appearance of having their mouth open, so I did the same here.
