Fishing Frenzy!

We came upon the pond, and sat down. I put on some Pokémon food for bait, and Eve did the same. I wanted Jolt out, so I could weaken the Water Pokémon easily. I believe Eve had the same idea when she kept Ivy out. We threw our rods into the water at the same time. It was a while before she got a bite.

"I got something!" she said.

"Pull it in!" I said.

She struggled to pull on the fishing rod; she almost fell into the pond with it.
I grabbed the rod with her, and pulled on it. Scuttle, Jolt, Ivy, and Cub grabbed onto it as well. I couldn't believe how powerful this Pokémon was. It finally gave, and fell backward as a group. The Pokémon leaped out of the water and onto land. It floated above the ground, and had the appearance of a jellyfish. It had feathery arms and legs, a white tuft on its head, and appeared smiling. Eve pulled out her Pokedex to see this Pokémon.

"Frillish, the Floating Pokémon. They paralyze prey with poison, and then drag them down to their lairs, five miles below the surface."
Ivy stepped forward, ready to battle. I was a little psyched about this battle; I never seen Ivy battle before. "Ivy, use Vine Whip!" commanded Eve. Vines grew out of Ivy's sides and hit Frillish. Frillish took some damage, but stood back up and smiled. Ivy was surrounded by a black aura; she looked stunned. Frillish charged at Ivy, and grabbed her with its tentacles. It squeezed Ivy tightly, and entered the water.

"Ivy!" yelled Eve.

The water glowed green, and Frillish popped out. Ivy climbed out as well, but not as fast. Frillish got up, and came at Ivy again.

"Not again!" said Eve.

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" I said. "Jolt, use Electroweb!"

Streams of electricity shot out, crossed over, and formed a web. It entangled Frillish and electrocuted it. Ivy got better, and stepped forward. "Ivy, use Aerial Ace!" said Eve. I hope she said that right, because I heard Aerial Ace.
Ivy jumped up in the air, and flew down like she had wings. She hit Frillish, and it fell to the ground. Eve threw a Pokeball, but it was deflected by a blue orb. I looked, and saw another Frillish. However, this one was blue, its tentacles and arms were smoother, and the tuft on its head was smaller. It stared angrily at us. The other Frillish got up and came towards the blue Frillish. We looked at them in confusion.

"Why are they the same Pokémon but they look different?" asked Eve.

"I guess Frillish is a species of Pokémon that has a different appearance between genders" I replied.

"Doesn't matter, I want a Frillish! I'll take the pink one, you handle the blue one!"

"Jolt, use Electroweb!" I commanded.

A web of electricity shot out at both of them, and entangled them both. "Ivy, use Leaf Tornado!" commanded Eve. Ivy spun on the ground, and a column of wind appeared. Leaves appeared in the small tornado, and she hurled it at the Frillishs. The attack hit, and they blasted off separated. Eve threw a Pokeball at the pink one, and the Frillish was sucked into the ball. The ball flashed automatically, like when I captured Scuttle. The blue Frillish got up, saw the Pokeball, and charged at me. I threw a Pokeball, but Frillish shot the same attack it used before. The Pokeball was consumed by the attack, the orb of water burst, and the Pokeball was forced into the pond. Frillish jumped into the pond, but raised its head and stared at us before it swam deeper.

"I caught a Frillish!" said Eve.

"Good job!" I said. "I wonder where my Pokeball went."

The pond flashed white, and my Pokeball floated to the top. I grabbed it, but it disappeared in a white flash.

"Where did it go?" asked Eve.

As soon as she said that question, my Xtransceiver rung. I pressed the button, and Professor Juniper appeared on screen. "Hello Roy" she said.

"Hello Professor" I replied. "What's up?"

"I wanted to congratulate you on capturing your seventh Pokémon!"

"Seventh? But I only have six!"

"Well, according to my records, you have seven. You just caught another Pokémon."

"I don't really think so. One of my Pokeballs fell into the water. The water flashed, and it floated to the top. I grabbed it, but it vanished."

"I think your Pokeball must have hit a Pokémon when it was forced into the water" said Eve.

"What is the Pokémon anyway?"

"Here, I'll show you."

On screen, was a giant fish tank; almost completely empty. A small eel-like Pokémon was in there swimming. It was white, with a yellow coil in its body. "The Pokémon appears to be a Tynamo" said Professor Juniper.

"Tynamo?" I asked. I pulled out my Pokedex, and shifted through the entries. "Tynamo, the Electric Fish Pokémon.  Tynamo usually travel in schools. They have an electricity-generating organ, so they discharge electricity if in danger."

"That Pokémon sounds really cool!" I said. "But why did the Pokeball disappear? And why do you have it?"

"Excellent questions!" she said. "Where are you two at right now?"

"Route 3."

"Meet me in Nacrene City's Pokémon Center."

The Xtransceiver turned off, and we headed back into the city. Professor Juniper was waiting in the main lobby. "Good to see you again" she said.

"Nice to see you too" I replied.

Eve and I let out all of our Pokémon. Professor Juniper was surprised by both of our Pokémon teams. Frillish floated over to Ivy and bowed. I believe she was trying to apologize.

"My my, I never had expected these many Pokémon this far into your journey" said the Professor.

"Thank you!" said Eve.

"What were you saying about six Pokémon each?" I asked.

"Well, each trainer is allowed to keep six Pokémon with them at all times. Whenever a trainer catches another Pokémon when the party is full, it is automatically sent to their storage box. However, I am allowed to keep track of certain trainers, and I picked yours and Eve's. So, every Pokémon you catch, I'll have record of them."

"That's cool!" said Eve.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" exclaimed Professor Juniper.

She reached into one of her coat pockets, and pulled out a Pokeball. She threw it up, and a Tynamo appeared. "Professor is that…" I said.

"Yes Roy" she said. "That's your Tynamo."

Tynamo ran off, looking very scared. Even more scared than Jolt once was. Glad to see that it ran off in the Pokémon Center than out the door. We chased after it, and managed to corner it. I approached it, and Tynamo seemed to calm down. I put my hand down, but Tynamo bit my finger. It didn't hurt, Tynamo didn't have any teeth. Sparks flew from its body, and sparks surrounded me as well. That didn't hurt either. I saw Professor Juniper with a small device in her hands; shocked. Tynamo stopped, and let go. I tried to grab it, but its body was slightly slippery. It ran for the door, and then Tynamo floated in the air. Goth used her Psychic to catch it. She put her hands on her head, Tynamo calmed down, and she placed it down.

"Just for you to be aware, this Tynamo is a boy" Goth told me.

"Thanks" I said. Tynamo slithered his way to me, and bowed his head. I guess he was trying to apologize. "You're a Tynamo" I said. "That's close to dynamo. How's that for a name, Dynamo?" Tynamo nodded in response. Professor Juniper looked kinda worried.

"Roy" she said.

"What is it Professor?" I asked.

"Did you know how much electricity you were hit with?"

"Not really; how much?"

"Almost equal to one gigawatt! Tynamos aren't supposed to produce that much electricity, but humans can't withstand that much electricity!"

I couldn't believe what she said. That explains why Jolt and Dynamo's attacks didn't work hurt me. Did this strange ability have anything to do with my strange dreams? There was a big explosion outside, and we ran outside to look.
